Hello:

I am running a Dahua HAC-HDBW2220R-Z  (DVR: TRIDVR-PR8M-3MP) at one location at my house.  At daybreak and during the day, the video seems too dark in foreground and too light outside of carport.  Is this normal? See attached images of pre-dawn and daybreak.

Brian,

In a scene like this you really should have WDR enabled in your camera. You can do this by access the cameras OSD using the PTZ controls and +IRIS, and navigate to the WDR settings.

Unfortunately every camera is different so I am unsure of the exact menu path you would take to find this setting. If you need help you’re more than welcome to give us a call or start a live chat.

Thanks.  I went through all menus and found PDF of camera specs.  Looks like WDR is not an option with this camera model.  I’ll need to upgrade to WDR models.  I appreciate the help.

I believe WDR is an option under the BLC settings in this camera. You may want to double check that or you’re welcome to give us a call.
