I am installing this recorder next week and I was wanting to know.

I am installing 5 cams outside do you recommend installing COAXIAL SURGE PROTECTORs for the outside cameras. What does everyone else do. Please advise

It is good practice to protect the line. You will need to obtain ah HD-CVI Surge Protector so that the Signal is not degraded.
