Hi,

i just bought this camera from you:http://www.securitycameraking......4IR-A.html

i do not have a Prime NVR, but rather the older 8 camera NVR with 8 built in POE ports.

so I've been told I have to set up the camera as ONVIF to take advantage of most of the functions like the built in microphone.

First step is to assign an ip to the camera with a 10.1.1.xxx url. A couple of questions:

1. What is the default address of the camera?

2. A link to Instructions for setting up this camera as ONVIF would be great.

thanks,

Tubac Tom

Here is a great article on the subject:

https://www.securitycameraking.....elite-nvr/

The Default IP address should be: 192.168.1.65

But if its not try using the search tool linked below:

Hi Dan,

I can't find a link for the SADP app for my Mac.

I know I was using your older ONVIF discovery tool. Will it work on the camera or do I need to use the SADP tool on a PC?

I need to change the ip to the 10.1.1 scheme also.

Thanks.

I had a hard time accessing the camera when I first got it. Jose helped me get it going but my NVR (NVR-ELM-8-POE-8-DH) can't make any changes to the camera (IPVD-PR4IR28) so I connected it back to the network so I can access it with the computer but I can't see it. The SADP tool does not list the camera.

Have no clue what IP has now. Tried re-setting it but no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Good Morning,

If the SADP tool is not finding it on your router, please try creating a small private network using a switch.

Just hook the camera into the switch, get power to the camera (if this is not a PoE switch), and plug your computer into that same switch. Your PC will need a static IP since now there is nothing assigning IP addresses (this IP address can be on any range you want, 192.168.1.x, 10.1.1.x., etc)

Once you have the PC set for a static IP, run the SADP tool, and see if the camera gets picked up.

Please report findings, thank you.

Hello Heath. The camera and the PC are connected to the same switch which is connected to the router/modem. The switch assigns IPs.

When Jose helped me last week, we used the SADP tool to change the camera IP to 10.1.1.130 When I realized I couldn't make any changes from the NVR is when I connected it back to the network and here we are.

Note: I did not receive any "manuals" with this camera. I can't find them on-line either. I did receive a very simple set up booklet. Very basic.

What are the steps to reset the camera to factory settings? I don't mind starting all over.

Thank you!

Hi There,

After reading your response I feel like you and I spoke yesterday afternoon via chat and did some work on this... is that right or am I mistaken?

If you still need the help, please let me know. Thanks.
