Can someone either tell me if it is possible to see video from a wireless IP camera (IPOB-EL2IREW) directly to the Tech Pro app... and either explain set up steps or point me to a video or instructions on how to do so?

Meaning no wireless network or NVR in the mix.

Thanks in advance!

With either a wireless network or LAN connection all you need is to port forward the same ports as if it where a recorder, Please keep in mind to obscure the default ports which are HTTP 80 and TCP 37777. Once you have done so you can access the camera outside of the network with the use of the TechproSS application.

Can it be done without a wireless network or LAN though? I just want to use the camera and an iOS device.

What I am trying to rig here is a camera that will be mounted on a conveyor used to load a truck. The drivers will be able to use their phones to watch the loading progress and be able to move the truck as needed.

Good Morning,

With any IP camera there must be a network connection, period. For wireless cameras there needs to be a wireless network in order for the camera to communicate with any other device.

Thanks Heath. The more I thought it through over the weekend the more I understand your answer.

I'll add a wireless router close by and that should make this work.

That is correct, a wireless router will create the network you need to run the camera.
