looking to design a system for a remote cabin Iam building. There’s cell signal  there. No ac power but was thinking of using 12 v batteries or whatever the system needs. Only looking for one or two cameras and would like the system to send me alerts via iPhone if someone around . Is this possible?

Hello Revid,

Welcome to the security camera king forums my name is Matthew Ernst and I am a moderator here as well as part of the security camera king sales team. It is possible to achieve what you ask as long as the proper materials are in place.  The first thing we would need to approach is your power situation with no AC power and using 12-volt batteries the batteries would drain so consider using a Solar panel that can maintain battery power. Using solar energy would mean we do need direct sunlight which could be used to charge the batteries cells this would be your source of energy when there is no sunlight. The Cameras, plus any devices we use to maintain an internet connection would depend on this. Below I have attached an article from our website that explains Solar power in more detail. For a setup like this, I would also make sure to have cameras with Micro SD cards so if the internet is lost you will have the footage recording locally to the cameras. You could also add a recorder onsite for local recording and camera management. Using microSD Cards in Surveillance cameras will ensure the uptime of the surveillance system. Potential outages in network connectivity would otherwise cripple a surveillance system, but a microSD provides on-camera storage for uninterrupted recording. A microSD card installed in each camera ensures continuous recording; the camera can continue to record critical surveillance video until the internet connectivity is restored. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Thanks Matthew for info, Iam in the process of a solar panel setup so that’s not an issue. Iam more concerned with the camera setup. So what would you suggest I would need? Again only looking for one or two outdoor cameras , remote viewing via smart phone and good night vision. How much dc power draw does the camera have? Thanks again
