Will the 4 channel passive video balun work with an HD CVI system? Need to install 2 cameras in a barn and would like to run just 1 wire back to the house. Also how well would this unit hold up in cold/hot weather? The barn is insulated but not climate controlled.

Thanks

Hello, is see your looking at the HD CVI systems GREAT DVR!! We really recommend using RG59 coaxle cable you will only need to run 1 cable if you use Siamese like the one shown here

OK. But will this balun work with HD CVI? I plan on having the recorder in the house and 2 cameras out on a barn about 200' from the house. would like to use a 4 channel balun and run a cat5 between the house and the barn leaving me the option to add 2 more cameras at the barn if needed.

Thanks

Utilizing a video Balun will degrade the Signal and it is not recommended.

Hello again, Yes the balun set will work you just have to configure the CVI DVR camera channel as UTP and use cat6 cable for the connection.
