George Sheehan2025-01-24 We purchased our home a couple of years ago and the home had existing security cameras. We wanted to update the existing DVR recorder and some of the cameras that were old, and the picture quality wasn’t the best. Being new to the Boca Raton area, we had no idea where to go to purchase, so we explored the internet and found Camera King. We read the reviews and many of them were 5 stars, so we decided to give them a shot. We quickly learned that the reviews were spot on. Jessica Wilhelmi who I believe to be the receptionist was extremely pleasant and once learned what we were trying to accomplish, put I in touch with Jorge Nava in Technical Support. Us being complete novices to this whole process of buying and installing these cameras, Jorge was extremely helpful. He made sure that we purchased the right DVR to support the existing cameras that we were keeping, while having the capability to support the 3 new cameras we were purchasing. These new cameras met our expectations and were reasonably priced. He also was extremely helpful in assisting me with his technical support in the setup process of the new DVR and issues during the installation of the new cameras. It's rare to find this quality of customer service these days. I will not hesitate to use Camera King in the future for any of my needs. WB “YellowJacket392”2024-09-24 I've been a customer now for 10 years at least for Security Camera King. I am on my 4th recorder and this new one is a NVR. I still have my XVR going as I set up this one. I admit I call a lot. But with no complaints or making feel like I am an idiot they are very patient with me and explain and walk me through every question I have or sign into my system and fix it. The reason I do not look at any other camera companies after all these years is because of their customer service. They cannot be beat. From the lovely woman that is so friendly when I call to Eric, Joe, Jordan and the others. I never met or even know who the owner is but they should be proud what a great support team they have in place and I want to say thank u! Christian Byler2022-03-17 I went to Security Camera Kings on the recommendation of a fellow shop owner. Zeke was the sales rep I worked with and he was very helpful. Explained technical aspects in a way that I understood and helped me decide on exactly what to buy. Installing the physical components of the system is fairly straight forward. I had a few issues with the operations setup and had to call technical support. Tyler has helped me twice. Great experience both times. Can't speak to the longevity of the cameras yet but the customer service is outstanding. If you're looking for security cameras you should definitely give these guys a shot. Ravi Brounstein2020-01-14 I had a mixed experience with Security Camera King. In the end they did stand behind their product and offering at the level I would hope for as a consumer. My experience resulted in new inputs to their continuous improvement cycle for service, support and sales. If you do ever have a problem on the post sales side and you are not getting the support response needed definitely reach out to the sales team, they are motived to make things work and they can impact internal change even if they aren't able to help directly, they are also very approachable. Kudos to SCK for going the extra mile to make me a happy customer on an especially challenging situation. After all they do put the customer first, and isn't that the kind of company we should want to do business with? Steven Maze2019-11-26 My goal was to quickly deploy seven replacement DVRs and reuse many of our existing campus coaxial cameras. Camera systems and security solutions are a commodity and all the DVR/ NVR systems and software are quite similar. In a commodity driven environment with so many price-points and misinformation on web forums and in reviews, the task of quickly finding a suitable solution can be frustrating. Someone recommended Security Camera King to me. I was told that they had good customer service and a helpful support forum, and I would agree. I called and talked with Anthony in sales and explained our situation and needs. I’m a smart guy and I’ll admit I had some misconceptions about some particulars regarding system design and terminology. Anthony was professional and politely clarified some things for me. After a bit more Q&A, I agreed on the replacement systems. The well packaged DVRs showed up on our campus the next day. The DVRs I ordered can accommodate two hard drives. I wanted to reuse my old working purple hard drives, so I bought some DVRs without hard drives. I also needed some DVRs with new hard drives and Security Camera King installed those and labeled the boxes for me. (I purchased some of the purple drives through them, too). My team installed the replacement Elite DVRs to replace our aging Samsung systems that were no longer supported. We found one of our buildings had 12 camera cable runs that had all been fried by what may have been lightning. We had to get a contractor in to rewire. We decided at that point to add some cameras but the DVR that I first ordered would not accommodate extra cameras in the configuration we proposed. I needed a larger hybrid system. Security Camera King happily worked with me to RMA the original DVR and sent me the replacement upgrade (and the refund on the other unit) very quickly. I am pleased with the Elite DVRs. We have had all seven running for months now 24/7 and have not had a single issue with a dropped DVR or forced reboot. All the buildings are stand alone and we monitor everything in one room with the included Smart PSS software. The security for each device offers an alpha-numeric login password and a connect the dots second step (like unlocking a smart phone by drawing a certain figure on the screen). As a bonus, I learned the team will help me when I am ready to set up trip wires and set refresh and motion control to get the best from the hardware we have. This is really a great value, especially if one is not familiar with all of the options and nuances of configuring zones, and sub-streams/ codecs, etc. I have had some communication with the support team and will ask them for help after the holidays with a few config items I want to tweak. This crew understands that business is more than getting a sale out the door. I highly recommend the company. Sandra I. Today their representative tech, Jorge Nava, was so good I needed to write a review. I have a wired home and have just reinstalled a router, I did a lot of the updating on systems/extenders myself, but some I worked with many tech people over the last few months Jorge, of Security King was the best by far. He was helpful, knowledgeable and he treated me with courtesy. We got my computer and cell program up in record time. He might have been the best tech person I have ever worked with.
