The lastest of our network video recorders for use with IP cameras up to 12MP resolution is this 16CH Elite 1.5U AI NVR that has 16 ports of built-in PoE (power over ethernet) with 200Mbps bandwidth when AI function is not enabled, otherwise 80Mbps when AI function is enabled. Ports 1-8 can support ePoE technology which enables you to go beyond the standard PoE distance limitation of 328 feet. ePoE technology can go up to 2,600 feet on a single cable run without the need for adding additional PoE switches in between. 

This Elite AI NVR offers more than ever before. Now supporting facial recognition thanks to its internal database, it can process up to 12 face pictures per second on 2 channels of video stream facial recognition at a time, or it can support up to 8 channels of picture stream facial recognition when paired with our Elite IP cameras that offer Face Detection as part of their IVS (intelligent video system) features. You can have up to 10 face databases storing a total of 20,000 facial images in total. Each of these databases can be applied to video channels independently. 

The facial database allows for assigning the following to the images, a person’s name, gender, birthday, address and more and has a common and stranger mode whereas when you are in stranger mode if the NVR detects a strange face that is not in the database, it can trigger a buzzer, alarm, start recording or take a snapshot and you can set thresholds for similarity which can be very beneficial in such use cases where access control is imperative.

Perimeter protection is a function that helps to filter out false alarms that are caused by animals or bright lights, leaves, and other reasons we have always received false motion-activated alarms. This feature is available on up to 4 channels each having up to 10 IVS rules.

This unit supports up to 4 hard drives internally with each drive up to 10TB of storage for a maximum capacity of 40TB. Having support for smart H.265+/H.265 video compression means that you will require less drive space as compared to previous compression standards such as H.264 or MJPEG.
