The IPOD-SB8IR28A is a 5 Megapixel (2592 × 1944) IP camera from our Sibell line of security camera equipment. It is a bullet style camera which should only be paired with our Sibell NVRs in order to make sure that all of its features are properly supported. You can also easily record audio with this camera through its built-in microphone, which you can choose to enable if you like.
Infrared illumination allows this camera to see up to 98 feet even in complete darkness, although in this mode you will not be able to see color. This camera’s full-color feature combines a low light sensor with projecting visible light in an area to keep the camera in color mode all of the time.
There are plenty of other features on this camera to accommodate the most challenging lighting situations. These include Headlight Compensation, Backlight Compensation, true 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range, and 3D Digital Noise Reduction.
This camera will work great both indoors and outside (it has an intrusion rating of IP67). The connections do need to be protected from the elements or they will corrode over time. Please check the ‘Recommended Accessories’ section of this page for products designed to do this for you.
