The PENDVR-ELE8M4K-AI is an advanced 8-channel Digital Video Recorder (DVR) from our Elite series of security equipment. It can handle up to 8 Megapixels (4K) BNC based cameras that use HD-CVI, AHD, TVI and/or analog. It can even use 8 IP cameras in addition to the BNC connected cameras, for a total of 16 cameras.

This recorder’s processor can handle up to 128 Mbps and can use the H.264, H.265 and smart H.265+ video compression formats. It’s independent Artificial Intelligence (AI) chip, which can reduce processing power and the storage space needed even more.

Faces can be recognized in real time with this DVR and compared with stored faces based on a number of characteristics which include age, expression, gender, glasses, mustache, and a mask over the mouth area. These faces can be captured and stored in up to 20 data bases (up to 20,000 faces in total) and displayed from recorded footage based on these features.

Perimeter Protection helps reduce false positives that can trigger unwanted motion based recording from trees, flags shadow/light, etc. This feature combines with Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD+) to bring unprecedented accuracy to motion detection based video recording. The SMD+ uses AI to determine if an object is shaped like a vehicle or person

The AI chip in this recorder also is very helpful when retrieving and reviewing recorded footage. This process is made much quicker and proficient because you can base your search based on people or motor vehicles.
