This camera is a 4 megapixel vandal dome from 4 MegaPixel from our Elite series of surveillance equipment. You can install this camera indoors or out although you will need to protect the connectors from elements or they will corrode over time.

This camera can see in complete darkness because it is rated for 98 feet of infrared illumination. On top of that, this camera utilizes the Starlight light technology to be able to handle low light situations very well. Starlight uses ambient lighting in the area to stay in color mode at lower illumination levels. Features like Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Headlight Compensation (HLC) and Back Light Compensation (BLC) also help to handle challenging lighting conditions.

The H.265+ video compression that this camera supports helps to reduce the amount of data being processed and stored by this camera. You can also choose to record video from this camera continuously or based on motion detection to reduce bandwidth usage and simplify reviewing recorded footage. Smart Motion Detection Plus (SMD Plus) helps to improve the accuracy of the motion detection while reducing unwanted motion recording, like leaves blowing through the camera’s view. You can also use virtual lines in the camera’s view to indicate the area you want the motion detection to monitor.
