The IPOB-EL4IR28-W is a 4 Megapixel (2560 × 1440) IP camera from our Elite series of surveillance products. This is a bullet style that has a 2.8 mm lens and sends the video signal through wifi. It has a 2.4G wifi dual antenna which can send a signal up to 492 feet in an open area.
The built-in microphone allows you to listen to and record audio. This combined with the built-in speakers allows you to use two-way audio from the camera through the mobile app or a computer.
This camera has Smart Infrared that is rated for up to 98 feet so it can even see in complete darkness. The Smart IR means that it will adjust the LED strength to properly illuminate the target area. It also has features like Headlight Compensation, Backlight Compensation, Digital Wide Dynamic Range, and 3D Digital Noise Reduction to help deal with diverse lighting situations.
You can use this camera both indoors and outside (it has an intrusion rating of IP67). The connections do need to be protected from the elements or they will corrode over time. The ‘Recommended Accessories’ section of this page will show you some products which are designed for this purpose.
