For years, one of the most frustrating aspects of recording license plates has been trying to actually find the footage of a plate you captured after the occurrence of an incident.  Even once you’ve narrowed down your footage to the intended target, it can be an endless ballet of frame-by-frame review to finally get that perfect picture of a legitimate readable license plate off your records.  Today we are happy to announce that those struggles are about to be a relic of the past.

The IPLPR-EL2IR30Z5X is our first of two brand new Automated License Plate Reader cameras designed specifically and solely for the purpose of license plate recognition and traffic management. The IPLPR-EL2IR30Z5X features a custom 1/1.8-in Sony GS-CMOS sensor made specifically for the task of cleanly capturing license plates day or night. The 10-50mm motorized varifocal lens will allow you to capture plates from 26-98 feet away from where the camera is installed at speeds up to 49 MPH (for best accuracy we do still recommend using these cameras at installation areas where a vehicle will have to slow down to around 10-25mph.)

When used in conjunction with one of our supported ANPR-capable NVRs, the IPLPR-EL2IR30Z5X offers complete traffic management and parking solution. The IPLPR-EL2IR30Z5X will automatically capture and recognize license plates and numbers, allowing a user to then search by time and date to view thumbnails of all plates captured during that time period or enter a license number to search for the vehicle in records.  Use the relay out control in conjunction with gate/barriers to set up a whitelist/blacklist of plates for automated community management.  New artificial intelligence can even help sort footage by type of vehicle and color to help you track incidents based on limited information.

All license plate tracking and review can be done via certain NVR’s that support the ANPR feature, or through the camera’s web interface when logged in via web browser when you have installed a surveillance series microSD card into the camera.  If you must have the capability to review license plate information from camera management software (CMS) on a computer, please contact our sales department at 561-288-5258 option 2.

The IPLPR-EL2IR30Z5X can be powered in 3 different ways; It is compatible with PoE, 12vDC or 24v AC to give you maximum flexibility on installation.
