The USB-EX196 is an extender used to extend a USB 1.1 signal over CAT5/6 up to a distance of 150 feet from the source. Connect the USB local unit to the host computer, connect a CAT5/6 cable (not included) from the RJ45 connection on the local unit to the remote unit, connect a user supplied USB cable from the remote unit to the USB device that you are trying to extend a signal to.
Plug and play so no software or drivers are required and the units are bus powered so no external power is required.
