I have a camera (CVIOD-TP1IRE) connected to a TRIDVR-EL8ME4 and it performs with no problems.

I just installed a QDVR-SBE16 and moved the camera over to the QDVR. The camera is working fine but the image is not in color.

Can someone point me to where I can resolve this

Thanks Dan

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately, the QDVR-SBE16 is TVI / AHD / 960H / IP recorder, this means that it does not support this camera as it is a HD-CVI camera. You can use the camera on this recorder only if you set the camera to the analog mode by connecting the two leads together.

You can also replace the camera with a TVI camera found here

I also connected a Sibell  TVIOB SB1IRE  and it is B&W as well

Regarding connecting two wires together  on the HD-CVI camera,, there are no wires other then the power and the BNC

Does the CVI look like this unboxing video?

The TVIOB-SB1IRE should be in color. Open a chat and I can take a look at your recorders settings. Also, ensure to use Siamese Cable or HD Plug and Play

Well by now it is apparent that I am a newbie....and I have not finished my coffee yet 🙂

I was looking at the camera base for the wires, I found them on the plug end, all is working now. I thank you for your help

It's my pleasure keep in mind that the cameras are analog now if you need a higher resolution you can update the cameras to IP or HD-TVI.

Other models do have a remote. I prefer a mouse as it is easier to navigate the menus with. If you are looking for a wireless solution you can use any 2.4Ghz mice. Any mice that are Bluetooth or requires any drives will not work.

Ok I was asking because a remote has a power button but I cannot find one on the DVR. The instructions say to click shut down then remove power. I have to unplug this to turn it off?

In the start menu, there is a shutdown selection, once it has halted the recorder will inform you that its safe to unplug.

That TVIPTZ camera will work with the QDVR-SBE16, as well as any recorder in our SIBELL series, a well as any of our PENDVR's.

Will not work with the TRIDVR-EL8ME4 or any of our TRIDVR-EL recorders as they are CVI capable not TVI.

Yes that is correct... any/all current SIBELL BNC cameras we carry will work with your QDVR.

You want to disable the 4 windows that are not being used from what, from the view? You can not disable them, you can however choose a different view that will not show the blank cams.

Not sure there will be a 12 camera view though.

There is a 9 window grid and a 16 window grid in the live view when connected to the DVR directly. The customer does not have a PC in that office and just wants to view it from the DVR

So then unfortunately at the local interface you can not see only 12 cameras. You may be able to create a custom view form a PC using the SIBELL NVMS software.
