One of the difficulties that I have had in installing video security systems, is running a WIRED connection from the DVR to the customer internet connection. Its not always possible or convenient to do this. I have recently implemented a very cool solution to this.
Using the Engenius EBC9500S in "client bridge" mode, you can connect the DVR, directly to the customers WiFi, without any network cable. Connection is fast, reliable, and causes no additional latency. The Engenius product is fairly easy to program by a tech with computer network knowledge. Product can be purchased for about $75 from many internet vendors. It is a wonderful solution to this kind of problem.

thanks for the tip. We have found that using Wireless access points is a great way to set up DVRs and IP cameras in those hard to reach places. There is a lot of different hardware available to accomplish this. It sounds like you found one that is very affordable. Thanks!
