Hi,

I am trying to add my cameras using "device manager". I am able to add the device to the list but it seems like this list is not saved anywhere and once I exit device manager the device list is empty.

How can I add a device permanently?

Thank you

Once you add the device to the list, you have to make sure to click "OK" at the bottom.  If you just hit the "x" at the top, it will not save your newly added device.

That's weird. When I add through Device Manage and close out the program then open it back up the devices I have added are still there. The problem you are seeing may be an issue on only your machine. Maybe one of our techs have seen this issue and can chime in here on what the issue may be.

May I ask what OS you are running on and which version of PSS?

oh ok Ryan, I usually just click OK. Didn't realize there was an exit "X" button (cancel button) on top. Thanks for clarifying.

I don't see any OK button on the "device manage" window. Many of the controls appear out of place.

My computer has Windows 7 professional.

Hello,

I think your issue is the DPI size in your PC. Please follow this Link: https://www.securitycameraking.....-software/

Thanks

Thank you. The DPI fixed it.

Now I found another issue but smaller. When I minimize the PSS it disappears and I cannot start a new one so I have to re-boot the computer.

If you're on windows, It's minimizing to your notifications area by the clock on your task bar. The icon looks like a small blue and white dome security camera. you can click it and it will maximize again.

is because is minimized to the windows bar. This bar is the one where the Time is. If you look close you will se an arrow, simply click on it and the PSS icon will be there. You can drag the icon to the right to make it visible all the time, or you can right click on top of the time and click properties. In there you will see an option called "Customize notification Icons" Click on it and look for the PSS icon and under behaviors chose "Show icon and notification", click OK when done.

Thanks
