Hey there, I have a DVR connected to my network using a static IP line and a preset port. When trying to connect to the unit using a web browser, I can connect, login, etc. As we all know the web browser situation isn’t the best.
I downloaded PSS, set the IP, Port, Login & Password all the same as if I were logging in online, but I get a “Time Out” message.
If anyone could help, that’d be great.
PSS and phone apps use a completely different port than the HTTP port. Depending on your network, you may have to open the TCP port as well. The default is 37777.
Also, we have a Smart PSS application that is newer than the original PSS application. Older DVRs and NVRs may not work well with the newer software and the original PSS would perform better. However, you are welcome to try the software.
