There appears to be a problem with the "Smart PSS" software on a MAC (running Mavericks). You can't put in a password greater than 7 characters in the setup screen. Since most unix/linux system want to have an 8 character password at the minimum you can't use this software. Note: I do NOT use the default password for the DVR admin user since that is a security risk of you are putting things on the Internet.

That is also a limitation of Tech pro PSS on the amount of characters in the user name and password. As well as the mobile apps. We have been waiting on a change for that. I am sorry for the issues.
