Description
The IPVD-SB5IRZ is an 8 Megapixel (2592 x 1944) IP camera from our Sibell line of surveillance products. This camera should only be used with our Sibell NVRs in order to make sure that all of its features are properly supported. It is a vandal dome-style camera that has a motorized varifocal lens that can be adjusted to get the exact view you want.
You can use this camera both indoors and outside (it has an intrusion rating of IP67). The connections do need to be protected from the elements or they will corrode over time. The ‘Recommended Accessories’ section of this page will show you some products which are designed for this purpose.
The motorized lens has a range of 2.8 mm – 12mm which allows you to have a short/wide shot, long narrow shot or anywhere in between. The infrared is rated for up to 164 feet so it will support viewing at longer distances. Other ways to deal with challenging light conditions include Headlight Compensation, Backlight Compensation, Digital Wide Dynamic Range and 3D Digital Noise Reduction.
