This camera comes with an included DC36v/2.23amp dedicated PSU, however with a Hi-PoE switch this camera can be operated over a single cat5e or cat6 ethernet cable. It’s also equipped with a Micro SD card slot for handling local backup up to 512GB.

Let’s talk about image quality, this is a true 4k/8MP camera with a native resolution of 3840×1260. Never miss any details either as even at 4k this amazing PTZ is capable of 30 FPS for the smoothest motion with the sharpest detail.

This camera features an incredibly powerful 40x zoom by way of its 5.6-223mm lens. This allows it to achieve the following view maximums:

Recognition: 880m (2887 feet)

Identification: 440m (1443.57)

Those numbers may sound wild- because they are! This camera is truly meant for seeing into the distance and doing so at the utmost quality. Not only that, but it features Auto-Tracking allowing it to follow targets that cross over its tripwire or intrusion rules- powered by AI-IVS. Speaking of AI, this camera features AI-powered facial capture and recognition allowing it to perform and compare against an NVRs face database.

During the day the IPPTZ-ELS8IR40-AI can be seen in brilliant quality and color. Sometimes the sun can hit at angles that create conflicting direct lighting but no worries as this camera have Wide Dynamic Range for dealing with conflicting, or head-on lighting situations.

What about at night, when it gets dark? The IPPTZ-ELS8IR40-AI is equipped with both starlight and IR. This means that it can see in color even at night down to .005 Lux, and in crystal clear monochrome even at 0 lux.

This camera is a PTZ, which means it features the ability to pan (rotate horizontally), tilt (rotate vertically), and zoom( see further away for a tighter but closer shot). You are able to control this directly from the camera’s web interface, or via a connection to one of our NVRs. You can set up presets for the camera to remember specific positions and zoom points, and even use these presets in tours, having the camera move through them at designated intervals.

Additionally, as this camera is intended for use outdoors it’s equipped with many beneficial tools and features. First, it has a built-in auto-detecting wiper which can remove excess moisture from the front of the lens. Next, it is IP67 outdoor weather rated to protect it from the elements! The IPPTZ-ELS8IR40-AI is extremely durable and able to operate in temperatures ranging from -40F to 158F (-40c to 70c).
