The HDOD-EL8IR28A is an Elite series camera that gives you 8 Megapixels or 4K (3840×2160) High Definition video. You can have this impressive video quality without the challenges of networking. This versatile camera can work with HD-CVI, CVBS, AHD and HD-TVI systems.
This camera gives you 8 MP video @ 15fps, 5 MP video @ 20fps, or 4 MP video @ 30fps and it has some features to handle difficult lighting conditions. It has 120dB True WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), which helps compensate for drastically contrasting lighting conditions in the same camera view. This camera also has Smart Infrared, which adjusts the intensity of the illumination to best suit the distance of the target area. The microphone that is built into this camera provides broadcast-quality audio if enabled.
It has an IP67 IP rating, which means this camera works very well indoors and out. It’s important to remember that you will need to protect the connection from the elements when mounting this camera outside. It also has 4 kV lightning rating to reduce the chance of this camera taking electrical damage.
The wide angle 2.8mm lens that this camera uses will allow you to detect objects at approximately 246 feet, observe objects at approximately 98 feet, recognize people at approximately 49 feet, and identify people at approximately 26 feet. Because it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP67 and a 4 kV lightning rating, there is a wide range of locations where this camera can be installed.
