This DVR supports H.265+ and H.265 dual stream compression which can greatly reduce the bit rate and storage requirements up to 90% over standard H.264 video compression. What this means for you is that it will significantly extend the data retention time on hard drives and reduce the bandwidth use.

Speaking of hard drives . . . this unit has 4 SATA ports accepting up to 10TB drives in each and even has one eSATA port enabling you to have an external recording device to backup your data to. This DVR comes packed with many features such as integrated POS functionality, IVS (Intelligent Video System) including tripwire analytics, missing or abandoned objects, and facial detection to name just a few. There is also a new fan with a smart design which will turn on or off automatically depending on the temperature of the CPU.

This unit can support 16 BNC connected cameras in addition to 16 IP cameras each up to 12MP in resolution, or you can use this as a 32 channel NVR using all IP cameras. You can even hook up external accessories such as a siren, strobe light or alarm function with the built in alarm inputs and outputs. This even has a connection for a microphone and audio in and out if you wanted to set up bidirectional talk via an external speaker.
